My name is Herversee Purifoy. I am a registered dental hygienist and advocate for preventive care. Prior to furthering my education at Fortis College, I graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Trinity University in Washington, D.C.

My interest in the dental field stemmed from working as a dental office manager for two years prior to Fortis.   As an office manager, I was able to see how important it was to educate those we serve and give back.  I'm excited and ready to provide preventive oral care, educate on the oral-systemic link, and be an agent-of-change.  My mission as a preventive care specialist is to save one smile at a time by delivering evidence-based information and therapy. 

 

My Philosophy

I'm a passionate, reliable, and self-motivating hygienist who believes preventive oral health is essential. My goal is to facilitate people achieving a state of optimal dental and oral health for themselves. I believe educating and providing optimal dental care will inspire behavior modification thus enhance my patient's well-being.
